Bare Bone$ Racing Goes to Loudon, and 2/3rd of It Has Fun Over the winter, I joined a team. At Bridgehampton last season, I met Tony Pagliaroli, the founder and Team Manager of Bare Bone$ Racing. He must have liked me, since he asked me to join up. This is a Godsend for me, because Tony is a much better bike mechanic than I am, and is also a world class schmoozer. We are now sponsered by AGV and Week's Cycle Salvage, which is a great place to get spare parts. I also run stickers from Action Yamaha, because they treat me really well there. That's where I go to get real work done. I've also got stickers for my Protek Sprockets and Vanson Leathers, but that didn't require any work--you buy the product, put on the sticker, and if you finish well, you get dollars or vouchers. The deals with AGV, and Week's are a little more serious...they required some real work on Tony's part to get. He's da man. Doug Pinckney spent some time in my pit crew last year, and got bitten by the race bug. He's also landed a ride with Bare Bone$. All three of us are on FZR400's, painted black and red to match our black, red and white leathers, and labelled with Team and Sponsorship Stickers. If you didn't know better, you'd think we were somebody. Tony's even put together a newsletter. The race weekend itself sucked completely. Doug and I went up early for Penguin school--he took Beginner, and I took Advanced. crash friday practice--working til midnight. Cold, cold airbox off Satury morning rain, wouldn't start
